Motivation
- Current state-of-the-art drying techniques cannot prevent the aggregation of nanoparticles for the processing of large quantities of material.
Approach
- EDA and the University of Michigan are using an atomization technique coupled with particle functionalization strategies that together act to reduce drying-induced aggregation as well as post-drying aggregation in micro- and nano-powders.
Results
- Developed a small-scale prototype during a Phase I effort.
